Minnesota REALTORS® Hit Capitol Hill

Working to get Minnesota REALTORS® lower health care costs, over 70 members and staff lobbied Minnesota's elected delegation on the Small Business Health Care Bill. Senator Norm Coleman(R) is a strong supporter and voted to move the bill forward. But Minnesota's second Senator, Mark Dayton(D), had concerns about coverage levels and voted against the bill. His vote against the Small Business Health Care Bill was crucial as the Senate was unable to attract enough Democratic support to move the bill forward. The House already passed the bill and was awaiting Senate action before going to the President.

BCBS Tobacco Settlement and Minnesota REALTORS®

Many of you have probably heard about the Tobacco Settlement being paid out to Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical plan members insured between 1978 and 2001 under the Minnesota Association of REALTORS® RealCare policy.

If you were covered under the Minnesota REALTORS® RealCare plan between the years of 1978 and 2001, you may be entitled to a portion of the settlement which the MNAR will be distributing to our BCBSM RealCare participating members.
